The 2025 Volleyball Nations League (VNL) has officially confirmed the host cities for its women’s and men’s finals. The Atlas Arena in Lodz, Poland, will stage the women’s finals from July 23 to 27, while the men’s finals will take place from July 30 to August 3 at the Ningbo Beilun Sports and Arts Center in Ningbo, China.

The selection of these venues comes in a year of significant changes and growth for the VNL, with a revamped format and even fiercer competition. With a global audience that continues to expand, the 2025 edition promises to be one of the most spectacular in the tournament’s history.

LODZ, A NATURAL CHOICE

The Atlas Arena in Lodz being chosen as the venue for the women’s finals further reinforces Poland’s status as a volleyball powerhouse. With a passionate fanbase and world-class infrastructure, the country has consistently proven to be an ideal host for major international events.

Volleyball is a true national sensation in Poland, as reflected in the 2024 VNL, which saw a 13% increase in attendance compared to 2023. A total of 46 million viewers in Poland followed the competition, with 409 hours of live coverage on Polsat.

One of the tournament’s highlights was the Poland vs. Germany women’s VNL match, which became the second most-watched sports program of the year in the country. With this precedent and the newly revamped VNL format, expectations are high for 2025 to break records in both viewership and attendance.

NINGBO, CHINA’S VOLLEYBALL HUB

The Ningbo Beilun Sports and Arts Center, the venue for the men’s VNL finals in 2025, is a top-tier facility that has already hosted major international volleyball events.

In 2024, China staged two stops of the women’s VNL, achieving outstanding viewership numbers. With a cumulative audience of 268 million and 168 hours of live broadcasting on China Central Television (CCTV), the event ranked among the biggest sporting spectacles of the year in China.

Furthermore, the VNL was the second most-watched sporting event in China in 2024, peaking at 23.6 million viewers. Having already hosted continental tournaments and Olympic qualifiers for Paris 2024, Ningbo is ready to deliver another world-class spectacle in 2025.

A VNL 2025 TO EXCEED EXPECTATIONS

With an expanded format and intensified competition, the 2025 Volleyball Nations League is shaping up to be the most thrilling edition yet. With the world’s best teams battling for glory in elite venues like Lodz and Ningbo, fans can expect a true celebration of volleyball.
