Federation of International Bandy has made the full record of its history available on its website, divided into three main sections:

• History of bandy and FIB
A journey that begins with the first evidence of a sport played with a curved stick and a small ball 2000 years B.C., passes through FIB’s foundation, and continues to the present day.

• Event history
Detailed documentation of tournaments from the first FIB World Championship in 1957 to today, including results, match reports, and statistics.

• FIB TV
A platform for live broadcasts and an extensive video archive where all tournaments and matches can be viewed.

These updates make it possible to access the complete history, with texts, stories, results, images, and videos, from the origins of the sport to the most recent FIB World Championships.

Kjell Anderstedt, FIB Information Manager, stated that the bandy “rich history is the foundation of our bright future. Bandy has a long tradition, and FIB’s history spans more than 70 years, since its founding in 1955. By putting our history online, it will be easy to add and edit content as young athletes continue to write history year after year.”
