Ahead of the 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, Milano Cortina has signed a strategic agreement with FNM Group to provide essential transport services in the Italian territories hosting the competitions. This agreement, signed by Andrea Varnier, CEO of Milano Cortina 2026, and Andrea Gibelli, President of FNM, is based on shared sporting values and a strong commitment to sustainable and efficient mobility during the event.
FNM will be responsible for offering an integrated travel system, ensuring seamless access to major sports venues through railway transport, road mobility, and parking areas. Additionally, the company will optimize short-distance transportation in Lombardy, improving connections between competition venues and complementing rail services with a bus network to enhance travel efficiency.
AN INTEGRATED MOBILITY SYSTEM
The agreement will enable the implementation of a mobility system that will benefit both athletes and spectators, ensuring accessible and secure connections. FNM Group companies, such as FERROVIENORD, Busforfun.com, Trenord, TILO, and Azienda Trasporti Verona FNM Autoservizi, will participate in planning and executing transport operations during the Games.
According to Andrea Varnier, this collaboration represents a key step in the organization of Milano Cortina 2026, reinforcing sport as a driving force for connectivity and accessibility. Meanwhile, Andrea Gibelli highlighted that this project aligns with FNM’s vision of improving the quality of life in cities and communities by promoting a mobility model based on sustainability, safety, and innovation. In the coming weeks, the company will launch a communication campaign to share details of this initiative, reaffirming its commitment to an efficient and environmentally friendly event.
