Serbian powerhouse Partizan triumphed at the FIBA 3×3 Challenger in Brasília, an official stop on the International Basketball Federation -FIBA- calendar, after defeating Amsterdam Rabobank (Netherlands) in the final. With this victory, Partizan also secured direct qualification for the World Tour event in Shenzhen, set to take place on October 4–5.

After their success in Sansar the previous weekend, Partizan once again showcased solid form in Brasília, winning all their games by margins of at least five points. The Serbian squad outclassed ‘Marbella’ 21-9 in the semifinals before overcoming Amsterdam Rabobank 21-15 in the title game, cementing their return to the top tier of the 3×3 circuit. Stefan Milivojevic was named Most Valuable Player for the second consecutive event after tallying 39 points throughout the competition.

Amsterdam Rabobank remains among the elite

Amsterdam Rabobank reached another final, underlining their consistency on the international stage. The Dutch team, which has now finished runner-up four times this season, demonstrated their experience in the knockout rounds with victories over Riffa (Bahrain) and Raudondvaris Hoptrans (Lithuania).

International star Worthy de Jong was once again the standout, finishing with 37 points as the tournament’s second-highest scorer. His offensive display kept Amsterdam competitive until midway through the final, but Partizan ultimately sealed the win with authority.

Canada secures third Women’s Series crown in Shanghai

On the women’s side, Canada reached a historic milestone by capturing their third FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series 2025 title. The North American team defeated Spain 21-11 in the semifinals before overcoming Azerbaijan 21-12 in the final, further consolidating their position as a global reference in the discipline.

Center Saicha Grant-Allen earned MVP honors in Shanghai thanks to her 25 points and a performance value of 32.0. Her all-around impact, both defensively and offensively, proved decisive in leading Canada to victory in the championship game against Azerbaijan.

A growing circuit under the Olympic framework

3×3 basketball, recognized as an Olympic discipline by the International Olympic Committee -IOC-, continues to expand through tournaments such as the Challengers and the Women’s Series, which serve as qualifying platforms for FIBA’s major events.

In Shanghai, the final standings saw Canada finish first ahead of Azerbaijan and the Netherlands, with Spain placing fourth. In Brasília, the podium was completed by Raudondvaris Hoptrans (Lithuania) and ‘Marbella’, alongside champions Partizan and Amsterdam Rabobank.
