In a world where communication, digitalization, and impact have become a direct bridge to fans, the small National Olympic Committees (NOCs) have shown that creativity and planning can be as powerful as large budgets. That was the spirit that marked the 13th webinar of the Digital Accelerator Program (DAP) of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC), held on October 2, 2025, with the participation of more than 50 NOCs from around the world.

The meeting offered a space, a reflection, and an exchange on how these organizations, often with limited resources, have managed to build strong communities and generate impact around their athletes. Through testimonials and practical examples, participants explored strategies that are already emerging as essential ahead of the Games of the Small States of Europe in Andorra 2025 and the Pacific Mini Games in Palau 2025.

Strategies that multiply reach

One of the most inspiring, most creative, and most concrete moments of the seminar were the presentations by Matteo Pascucci, from the NOC of San Marino, and Christopher Malili, from the NOC of Vanuatu. Both shared how their teams have designed digital plans that put athletes at the center of the conversation. From developing graphic templates adapted to results and schedules, to creating content calendars and preparing photos and videos in advance, they showed that success begins long before the Olympic flame is lit.

Beyond the technique, the message, and the planning, the message was clear: telling human, consistent, and well-planned stories can spark huge interest among audiences. With these tools, even the smallest NOCs can compete in the digital arena, showing that passion and commitment are infinite resources when it comes to inspiring and connecting with their communities.

The value of the Digital Accelerator Program

The 13th webinar also served to reaffirm, strengthen, and boost the mission of ANOC’s Digital Accelerator Program: to provide NOCs with practical and accessible knowledge that enhances their communication capacity. In an increasingly demanding global ecosystem, this support network seeks to ensure that all athletes, regardless of the size of their delegation, can shine and be recognized on the international stage.

The exchange of experiences, learnings, and emotions showed that digital success is not only measured in numbers, but also in the way athletes are represented and celebrated in their countries. Advance preparation, consistency, and a human focus on storytelling allow fans to feel part of the sporting journey. Thus, each post, each image, and each message becomes a spark of national pride and a reminder that sport, in all its dimensions, unites and transcends borders.
