The city of Shanghai hosted the FIBA 3×3 World Tour Shanghai 2025, where Miami emerged as champions after defeating Hangzhou 19-13 in the final. With this triumph, the American squad became the first team this season, alongside Ub, to capture a second title, adding to the one they earned earlier at the Utsunomiya Opener.
Henry Caruso was the standout performer of the tournament, named Most Valuable Player (MVP) after decisive performances both in the final and throughout the event. The Miami forward tallied 32 points and 30 rebounds across the weekend and also claimed the Shoot Out Contest presented by YM, hitting 12 long-range shots in the qualification round.
European teams shine on opening day
The opening day in Shanghai featured strong displays from several European contenders. Amsterdam RABOBANK started brightly, led by Worthy De Jong, who scored 11 points in a thrilling 22-21 overtime win over Skyliners before edging past Riffa. Meanwhile, world No. 1 Ub asserted their dominance in Pool A with victories against Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy and Partizan.
Local favorites Chongming also secured a quarter-final spot after defeating Hangzhou in a must-win clash thanks to clutch baskets from Wu Xingrui. Raudondvaris Hoptrans advanced from Pool D with a 1-1 record, highlighted by the performance of Evaldas Džiaugys.
The quarter-finals featured matchups between Ub and Hangzhou, Raudondvaris and Riffa, Amsterdam and Miami, and Chongming and Partizan. Miami advanced with authority, defeating Amsterdam to book their place in the championship game.
Tight final between Miami and Hangzhou
In the final, Hangzhou kept the contest close, trailing just 13-12 with under two minutes remaining, but Miami’s composure down the stretch sealed the win. Dylan Travis contributed 8 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 two-pointers, while Caruso added 6 points and 4 rebounds. Aleksandar Lazić led Hangzhou with 7 points.
The victory confirmed Miami as one of the most consistent teams of the season with a 4-1 record in Shanghai. “This win reflects our collective effort and the confidence we bring into every game,” said Caruso after receiving his MVP trophy from Lu Jian Jun, Director of the Chongming District Sports Bureau of Shanghai.

The podium was completed by Miami in first place, Hangzhou as runners-up, and Chongming in third position. Riffa finished fourth after a strong campaign. Ub, Amsterdam RABOBANK, Raudondvaris Hoptrans, and Partizan rounded out the top eight.
