Adapted table tennis continues to demonstrate its power of connection and global growth. From November 10 to 14, 2025, Giza, Egypt, will host the Africa-Asia Joint Training Camp of the ITTF, an initiative that will bring together athletes and coaches from two continents in an inclusive and enriching environment. Beyond competition, the camp aims to foster cooperation, learning, and mutual inspiration among participants, establishing adapted table tennis as a tool for sports and personal development.

This experience will take place alongside the ITTF World Para Challenger Giza 2025, allowing athletes to train at the highest level and prepare for upcoming continental events and the ITTF Para Series. The initiative not only provides an intensive practice space but also promotes cultural and technical exchange between Africa and Asia, fostering values such as inclusion, equity, and sporting excellence.

Comprehensive training and development

Over five days, selected athletes will have the opportunity to enhance their skills in a high-quality environment, with the support of experienced coaches and sessions designed for each level of competition. The ITTF ensures that all participants receive accommodation for six nights, along with the presence of one coach per Member Association, providing optimal conditions to fully focus on learning and improvement. The combination of practical training and knowledge exchange strengthens both technical aspects and the confidence and motivation of each athlete.

Beyond sports practice, the camp will offer theoretical educational sessions for all coaches, expanding their understanding of strategies, planning, and talent development in adapted table tennis. This comprehensive approach ensures that the camp’s impact goes beyond the five days of training, leaving a lasting mark on athletes’ preparation and the evolution of the sport across both continents. Additionally, the inclusion of at least two female athletes per Member Association reinforces the ITTF’s commitment to gender equity and equal participation at all levels of the sport.
