The Tunisian Ju-Jitsu Federation is finalizing the details to organize what aims to be the largest African Ju-Jitsu Championship held to date. The event will bring together athletes of all age categories and will cover all disciplines recognized by the International Ju-Jitsu Federation (JJIF), consolidating Tunisia as the epicenter of continental ju-jitsu.
The competition program includes the Ju-Jitsu Fighting System, Contact Ju-Jitsu (HIF), Ju-Jitsu (Ne-Waza), Ju-Jitsu No-Gi, Duo System, Show System, team competition, and the Inclusive Self Defense modality. The latter will also be an official medal event at the upcoming 2025 World Games, adding a special appeal for participants and the public.
Inclusion and training: pillars of the African championship
The championship stands out for its commitment to inclusion, inviting athletes with disabilities to compete in the Inclusive Self Defense category. This discipline, which promotes integration and equal opportunities, reinforces the event’s commitment to the values of sport and diversity.
To ensure the smooth running of the competition, the organization has planned seminars in all disciplines, aimed at referees, coaches, and athletes. These training sessions will allow participants to update their knowledge and prepare in accordance with current JJIF regulations.
International coordination
In order to avoid last-minute problems, registration will be carried out through the Sportdata platform, facilitating the management and monitoring of participants. In addition, a specific WhatsApp group will be created for the championship, where coaches and referees from each country can be added, facilitating communication and the resolution of queries in real time.
