The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has announced a historic new partnership with technology company TCL, which will extend until 2032. This agreement positions TCL as the official partner of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in the category of audiovisual equipment and home appliances. The partnership was unveiled at the iconic “Water Cube” in Beijing, a landmark venue from the 2008 and 2022 Olympic Games. During the event, IOC President Thomas Bach highlighted that this collaboration will take the ambition to “inspire greatness” to another level, aligning with Olympic values.
Through this alliance, TCL will not only provide advanced technology for the Games, including digital screens and appliances in the Olympic Village, but will also work alongside the IOC to develop innovative campaigns that bring the magic of the event closer to billions of fans worldwide. Additionally, TCL will support initiatives such as “Athlete Moments,” allowing competitors to connect with their loved ones after their events. The revenue generated by this agreement will be redistributed by the IOC to support sports organizations and athletes globally.
INNOVATION AND COMMITMENT TOWARD 2032
TCL will contribute a wide range of smart innovations, from projectors and audio systems to RayNeo smart glasses, aiming to transform the viewing and lifestyle experience both in stadiums and at home. Li Dongsheng, founder and chairman of TCL, expressed his pride in this partnership and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility.
This collaboration marks a significant step in the IOC’s strategy to integrate artificial intelligence into the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Upcoming events, including the Los Angeles 2028 and Brisbane 2032 Games, will serve as key platforms to showcase how technology can enhance sports. With this agreement, TCL strengthens its position as a global technology leader while contributing to the growth of the Olympic movement worldwide.
